Still no scheduled hearing before the SC Court of Appeals. July 3, 2017, the court deemed this case "Ready for Consideration."
Why is it taking so long?

As you may know, the South Carolina State Board of Education has the authority to suspend or revoke a teachers license when “just cause” exists. (S.C. Code Ann. § 59-25-150 (2004).
Superintendent recommended to the South Carolina Department of Education that my Teaching Certificate be revoked or suspended.
After a lengthy investigation, ending February 24, 2017, the South Carolina Department of Education dismissed Dr. Moss’ recommendation.
So, it appears that the Investigators, Legal Counsel and State Board Members came to the conclusion that a “reasonable” person would not believe that “just cause” exists.
I hope that this is the catalyst for TRUTH to be finally revealed after 3 plus years.

State Department of Education- The Legal Division, Deputy Superintendent, at the State Department of Education has informed me that an examination commenced after someone at the Department came upon an article that was published about my case by the IP Newspaper on Monday, May 2, 2016. The School District had not reported my termination to the SDE and was subpoenaed for information. I have not, as of yet, received the information obtained from the subpoena.
As you may have seen online at the IP Newspaper Website, I wrote a comment displaying my deep concerns to a variety of issues including documents facts that the report. Through a series of emails and phone calls other issues were cited not contained in my online comment.
On Friday, October 21, 2016, I was informed by the Legal Division of the State Department of Education that the Investigation Division in the Office of General Counsel and the Lead Investigator would present his findings to the CRC in December. As of this writing no date has been scheduled.
I cannot verify this, but I have been told that I may be the first teacher in history to have requested an audience with the State Board of Education prior to the conclusion of litigation proceedings.

Made the move back to Columbia. Still trying to sell house. Being in Columbia is beneficial in that I can help my father during his fight with cancer as well as being in same city as South Carolina Court of Appeals and State Supreme Court.
